Financial Reporting

The Financial Reporting unit is responsible for providing timely, accurate and meaningful financial information, which comply with various internal and external requirements. This unit provides mandatory annual reports to various State agencies, such as the Integrated Fiscal Reporting System (IFRS) with the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board and the Annual Financial Report (AFR) to the Texas Comptroller. This unit also provides mandatory reports to Federal entities, such as the Integrated Postsecondary Education Data System (IPEDS) that is submitted to the U.S. Department of Education and the Forms 990-MISC and 998T that are filed with the Internal Revenue Service. In addition to providing external entities with financial information, this unit provides institutional management with miscellaneous financial reports such as investment and quarterly financial reports that support management in their decision-making process.
