To accomodate the increasing use of the World Wide Web in the academic environment and keep CoB on the leading edge with it's web sites and other web-related technology.

Web Technology
Due to the customized nature of our web environments, most of our coding is done by "hand" rather than using web-development software applications. However, here is some of the web-related technology we use:
- Apache (web server), mySQL (database), PHP (server-side scripts) running on Windows clustered servers
- XHTML, XML for markup
- CSS for presentation
- Adobe Photoshop
CoB Web Site
Our team is responsible for creating and maintaining all web pages that are contained within the main CoB template design (what you see now). We also assist departments and centers with their websites if needed.
Web-related services
HTML and bulk email
Using a product called Gammandyne, our team can assist departments when they want to send our professional looking email messages to multiple recipients.
Custom data collection web-forms
If departments need to have a way of collecting information from people via the web, we can create custom forms that can store the results in database format, generate emails, etc. for easy collection.
Web-based surveys
Using a powerful tool called Qualtrics, faculty and departments can use this web-based software to quickly create a variety of surveys.
Faculty web-pages and custom projects
Our team is happy to assist instructors, departments or other faculty/staff with their individual web pages and any other custom web-related projects.
