Ball State Athletics

After knocking off ninth-ranked Lewis and Loyola Chicago last week, Ball State moved up six spots in the AVCA Coaches' Poll to tie for No. 9. BYU remained No. 1 for another week.

UC Irvine Athletics

Fourth-ranked UC Irvine won its fifth consecutive match with a 3-0 victory  against No. 13 Penn State in a nonconference match on Saturday. Kevin Tillie led the Anteaters with 12 kills and five digs.

Stanford Athletics

With the score tied at eight, the Cardinal's lone senior Jake Kneller served five consecutive points to give No. 8 Stanford a 3-2 win against No. 5 Cal Baptist on Friday.
