2012 Sun Belt Basketball Conference Tournament

Join the UNT Alumni Association and North Texas Athletics to show your Mean Green pride at the Sun Belt Conference Basketball Tournament in Hot Springs, Arkansas. The tournament and special events will take place Friday, March 2 through Tuesday, March 6.

• $90 all tournament packages include tickets to every tournament game and seating located behind the team bench during North Texas games.  For the best pricing and reserved seating purchase your tickets through the North Texas athletic ticket office.

Mean Green Send Offs and Hot Springs Headquarters

• Mean Green Send-Offs – Join North Texas Spirit Groups approx. 1 ½ hours prior to every tip-off and rally the men’s team as they departs from the Austin Hotel, and as the women’s team arrives at the Summit Arena.

Friday – March 2^nd

• Day At The races, Enjoy a day of horse racing during Oaklawn’s 2012 live season.  Sun belt Institutions will be sponsoring races throughout the day.  Admission to the track is $2.
• 1pm – 5:30, Oaklawn Jockey Club, 2705 Central Ave, Hot Springs, AR
• Tournament Tip-Off Celebration, Free celebration and concert by Spa City Blues Society
• 3pm Hill Wheatley Plaza, Hot Springs, AR
• Pep Band Spectacular Celebration, Free Concert Featuring Sun Belt Pep Bands
• 6pm  Hill Wheatley Plaza, Hot Springs, AR
• Hot Hoops in Hot Springs Headquarters, Join the Mean Green Nation in Hot Springs as Head Coaches Johnny Jones and Karen Aston host their pre-tournament radio show live and on location at Lucky’s Bar & Grill.  Lucky’s will feature happy hour drink and appetizer specials including Mean Green Margaritas and Green Pride Beer.  Lucky’s Bar & Grill, will also host pre and post-game gatherings for the Mean Green Nation.

Saturday – March 3^rd

• Dribble Drive to Summit Arena, Children 5 – 13 years of age are encouraged to join Hot Springs and Sun Belt Officials in a Dribble Drive through downtown to the arena.  Check in and walk up registration begins day of on March 3^rd at 10am, or in advance via SunBeltSports.org

Sunday – March 4^th

• Alumni Reception, Join the North Texas Alumni Association and other Sun Belt School alums in a celebratory brunch prior to Sunday’s first session of games.  Alumni and fans from all Sun Belt schools are invited to join us for a champagne breakfast, so come out, with your North Texas spirit wear, and support the Mean Green in their quest to become Sun Belt Conference Tournament Champions.

Alumni GameDay Grille

Join the UNT Alumni Association for pregame football parties at the new UNT Alumni Pavilion opening on September 10, 2011. Located adjacent to the northeast main entrance of the football stadium, UNT Alumni Association members and a guest will get in free for food, fun and festivities.

We’ll start three (3) hours prior to kickoff, so stop by and see us.
