Program admission requirements

• GRE Scores: Submission of official GRE scores is required: Verbal, quantitative and analytical writing. The department views high GRE scores as positive indicators of potential success in the programs. However, GRE scores are among many factors taken into consideration by the EPSY admissions committee in a holistic and competitive process. GRE scores must be sent electronically from ETS, institutional code= 6481.
• At least two written letters of recommendation from individuals who can give evidence of your abilities to succeed in the specific program with which you are applying. Letters should be requested from academic or professionally applicable sources. These letters must be on official letterhead, signed, and sent directly from the reference.
• Resume or vita that includes your previous career and/or educational experiences.
• A personal statement (1-3 pages) is required, stating your goals and rationale for applying to the desired concentration. In this statement, please make sure to include a brief description of your job experiences. For example, if you have teaching experience, or if you have experience working with special populations, please summarize these experiences, and explain how they are linked to your educational aspirations. Also, if you have any research and/or evaluation experiences, please summarize them and link to your current degree application. This personal statement should be written in a concise and organized fashion that represents a strong sample of your writing abilities.
• All program application materials, including official GRE scores, must be received within two months of the submitted application.
