If you've got a health condition or concern for which you're seeking expert help, look to the UNT Health for assistance.

At UNT Health, you'll find physicians who have advanced training and extensive experience in every health care discipline, including highly specialized areas such as pediatric endocrinology or foot and ankle surgery.

Because UNT Health is a leading center of multidisciplinary care, your UNT Health doctor may work closely with physicians from other specialties, as well as many other types of health care professionals, to ensure that you get care that's precisely tailored to your needs.

Several UNT Health specialty services, including cardiology and orthopaedic surgery, are offered in conveniently located community settings, making it easier for you to access the care you need.

More Than 20 Primary Care Practices

UNT Health has more than 20 primary care practices conveniently located in communities throughout the North Texas area.

You'll find among them practitioners in general internal medicine, family medicine, women's health, and pediatrics.

If you or a family member has a special concern, such as infertility, a history of digestive problems, or childhood developmental questions, you may wish to choose a physician with a particular clinical interest in the topic.

No matter which UNT Health primary care provider you choose, you'll be assured of both expertise and access to the comprehensive resources of UNT Health.

Board-Certified Medical Specialists

The physician certification process is designed to ensure that a certified medical specialist has the knowledge, experience, and skills to provide high-quality patient care in that specialty.

Specialists are physicians who have chosen a specific knowledge area of medicine and have completed a residency of three to seven years supervised training in that field.

A subspecialist is a physician who has completed additional training of one or more years in a more specific area of that specialty, called a subspecialty -- such as cardiology, which is a subspecialty of internal medicine, or pediatric surgery, which is a subspecialty of surgery.

For additional assistance selecting a UNT Health physician, please call the Consultation & Referral Center at 817-735-DOCS.
