Lecturer
Dr. Burleson's research interests are in chronic hypoxia in mammals.
Dr. Mark Burleson teaches a lab that experiments with channel catfish to study O2 chemoreception in a non-mammalian vertebrate.
Experience:
Burleson's specific research projects focus on the effects of acute and chronic hypoxia on neural control of cardioventilatory reflexes in lower vertebrates. He also studies the mechanisms of oxygen chemoreception.
