Medical Billing/Coding Returns to Denton!

Medical Billing Specialists are people who prepare and review medical records to determine appropriate costs, summarize charges, and prepare the bills to be sent to clients. They will even interface with clients on questions regarding bills and charges. There are no minimum education requirements for medical billing specialists; however, a certificate can improve employment chances.

  • Designed around 80 hours of instructor-led lecture and hands-on classroom practice.
  • Includes 6-hour certification exam prep course and the CMC exam.
  • Topics covered include: Medical Terminology & Anatomy, Medical and Insurance Office Policies and Procedures, ICD-9 Coding, CPT Coding, HCPCS Coding.

Entrepreneurs Boot Camp

Have you always wanted to start your own business but haven't known where to start? This summer, CALL, in conjunction with the Murphy Center for Entrepreneurship will offer a summer series to equip you with the tools and knowledge necessary to start your own business. You'll work with a team of graduate students to help you develop your business plan, and by the end of the series you will have an opportunity to present your plan and solicit advice from potential investors and business professionals along with access to ongoing support from the Entrepreneurial support network.
