Joel A. Daboub, MBA, serves at the assistant dean of Admissions for the Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of North Texas Health Science Center. His current responsibilities include the oversight of day-to-day operations of the Office of Admissions, as well as directing the development and implementation of outreach and recruitment activities for the medical school.

Mr. Daboub received his Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas, his Bachelor of Marketing Management from the same institution, and is currently completing a graduate certification in Geographical Information Systems from the University of Texas at Arlington.

He has worked for the UNT System in various capacities for the last 22 years. Prior to his current role at the Health Science Center, he served as Associate Director of Admissions at The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at UNT Denton, as well as the Director of Freshman Orientation. Over the course of his career at UNT, Joel has participated in special projects including the re-design and implementation of the Undergraduate Admissions prospect management system, implementation of the PeopleSoft student information system for the UNT System, and most recently the integration of a digital document management application resulting in a “paperless” student records management system at the medical school.

Over his 22 year career, Joel has served as an advisor for various student organizations, most notably as advisor for the North Texas Student Foundation from 1994 to 2005. In addition, he has served on the Harris Health Exchange Board, and was selected to serve a year term on the Leadership Fort Worth Board of Directors.
