In light of the UNT commitment to Teaching Excellence, we are recruiting 20 new participants for the Graduate Student Teaching Excellence Program, G*STEP. This program is jointly sponsored by the Toulouse Graduate School and the Center for Learning Enhancement, Assessment, and Redesign (CLEAR). Upon completion of the G*STEP Program, participants will be able to effectively teach or support those who teach a university course; i.e. articulate their role and resources, organize and explain materials, establish and maintain an effective learning environment, and promote self-regulated learning.
Consider applying to be one of the participants selected to participate in G*STEP program. We are capping enrollment for this Spring at 20 students. The application period will be from January7 – January 21. A letter of recommendation from a faculty member (preferably the Chair of the Applicant’s Committee or Advisor) is required with the application form.
The only cost to you will be your time, passion, the purchase of a book, Svinicki, M. and McKeachie, W.M. McKeachie's. 2010. Teaching Tips: Strategies, Research, and Theory for College and University Teachers. Wadsworth Cengage Learning. 13th edition. You can expect to devote approximately 15 hours per month to this program and must complete all components of the program within 1 calendar year.
