Updated May 4, 2020: Oregon Governor Kate Brown calls for Oregonians to stay home, closing specific retail businesses and requiring social distancing in most cases. The executive order took immediate effect on March 23, 2020.
CLOSED FOR DROP-IN SERVICE: To comply with the CDC’s recommended social distancing measures, the Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships is not currently offering in-person financial aid counseling. Office staff are currently available via email at financialaid@uoregon.edu from 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday. Please email your questions and we will get back to you as soon as possible. If you would prefer to speak directly with a financial aid counselor via phone or Zoom, please email us with your request, taking care to leave your contact information and availability and we will be in touch with you shortly. Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to hearing from you.

Summer financial aid offers will be issued for students registered at least halftime for summer (6 credits for undergraduates, 5 credits for graduate students, 3 credits for law students) beginning the week of May 18. For more information, go to the summer financial aid webpage.
Summer Financial Aid Timeline for Current Students:
- Registration for summer term begins May 4.
- Registration deadline for priority summer aid consideration is May 15.
- Summer refunds for law students are processed beginning May 18.
- Summer refunds for undergraduates and other graduate students will become available on the first day of your first summer course.
Emergency CARES Grants Available to Students
May 6, 2020: The UO is preparing to distribute more than $8 million to students through the Federal Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act. The university will begin reviewing applications in the next two weeks. Check if you are eligible and apply for the emergency grants via an online form.
