The refuge lies along the East Fork of the Clarks River and is seasonal home to over 200 species of migratory birds. Clarks River National Wildlife Refuge is the only National Wildlife Refuge solely within the state of Kentucky. This young refuge is still being developed, but offers great opportunities to enjoy wildlife in Western Kentucky.
