The New Jersey Travel and Tourism Web site contains a variety of ideas for vacationing in the Garden State.
Where can I find a calendar of events taking place in NJ?
The Travel Guide service on the state home page lists events across New Jersey.
Where can I find location, admission, activities, or facilities available at different theme parks?
New Jersey Amusement and Theme Parks offers links to theme park Web sites.
Where can I find a list of campgrounds open to the public in NJ?
Find a New Jersey campground near you by selecting the region you wish to visit. You will then be able to choose from all the campgrounds in that region. For further information, try Travel and Tourism's camping page.
Where can I find a list of fairs and festivals in New Jersey?
The Agricultural Fair Association of New Jersey lists all the county fairs in the state. The Department of Agriculture provides lists of Jersey Fresh fruit and vegetable festivals, seafood festivals, and wine tasting events.
When and where is the NJ State Fair?
The New Jersey State Fair is held annually at the Sussex County Fairgrounds in August.
Where can I find a list of national landmarks?
Information about national historic landmarks is available at the National Park Service Web site. For a complete list, the book National Landmarks, America's Treasures: The National Park Foundation Complete Guide to National Historic Landmarks, written by S. Allen Chambers, Jr., contains descriptions of more than 2,300 landmarks. For information on New Jersey landmarks specifically, view a list of New Jersey's national historic sites. (*pdf) Additionally, the Division of Parks and Forestry lists the addresses of historic sites that are open to the public. You can link to the Web pages of many of these historic sites as well. New Jersey Travel and Tourism provides information about historic attractions within the different regions of the states.
Where are Revolutionary War sites located in New Jersey?
The Crossroads of the American Revolution: A Driving Guide and Map to New Jersey's Revolutionary War Trail highlights 51 sites across New Jersey where visitors can retrace the footsteps of the Continental Army and learn more about the state's pivotal role in securing America's independence. Where can I find the names and location of museums in NJ?
Museum Links lets you visit the Web sites of NJ museums.
Where can I find maps of New Jersey?
The Department of Transportation provides maps of the Garden State.
Where can I find the train schedule?
NJ Transit provides timetables of train schedules as well as point to point schedules if you already know your starting point and destination. Amtrak also has train schedules.
Where can I find the bus schedule?
Bus timetables are provided by NJ Transit.
