Governor Jindal Highlights New Oil and Gas Worker Training Facility at Fletcher Technical Community College Governor Bobby Jindal highlighted the groundbreaking of a new facility at Fletcher Technical Community College Tuesday to train offshore oil and gas workers. The new BP Integrated Production Technologies (IPT) facility will be located next to BP’s Houma Operations Learning Center, and will include a 4,000 square foot state-of-the-art training laboratory, classrooms and offices for the oil and gas program.

Elio Motors Announces Vehicle Manufacturing Facility in Shreveport Today, Governor Bobby Jindal announced that Elio Motors plans to assemble new vehicles at the former General Motors Shreveport plant. Elio Motors Inc. plans to create 1,500 new direct jobs by late 2015 paying an average annual salary of $47,700, plus benefits, as well as make a capital investment in excess of $100 million.
