NEW ORLEANS DISTRICT - Contract awarded for seepage cutoff work on Lake Pontchartrain levee

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers awarded a $2.2 million contract to Louisiana-based Phylway Constructors LLC to build seepage cutoff measures along the Lake Pontchartrain levee from Franklin Ave to the Seabrook Floodgate Complex. Construction is expected to be complete by late summer 2013.

VICKSBURG DISTRICT - U. S. Army Corps of Engineers, Vicksburg District upgrades website

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) Headquarters, USACE Divisions, USACE Districts and some USACE research centers are migrating their main public websites to a new, cloud-based system called the American Forces Public Information Management System (AFPIMS). This new system will create consistency, streamline content management, easier updating of web pages, better audio and video accessibility and deliver a richer user-friendly site.
