It is that time of year again to prepare for severe winter weather. This time of year brings the possibility of cold temperatures, wind, ice storms, power outages and snow. Now is the time to ensure that you, your family members and your community are prepared. Preparation starts with a winter “kit” in your car so if you get stuck or stranded on the road you will be able to survive until help arrives. It continues with your family and determining if you are prepared for a power outage of 2-3 days or a rapid snow melt. It is too late to figure out what to do when you are in the middle of a flood, power-outage or blizzard. Now is the time to get ready!
