Warrior Activity Recreational Sports (WARS) program is conducted in collaboration with the WTB, Womack ARMY Medical Center, and MWR. This Therapeutic Recreation program has been designed to meet the multiple needs of the Warrior Transition Battalion. Soldiers participate in a variety of programs, such as Spin, yoga, Wii, and aquatics for 12-weeks at a time. Some program goals are to increase endurance, strength, leisure awareness and decrease anxiety and depression symptoms.  Certified staff and volunteers facilitate the programs. If you or someone you know is a wounded warrior and want to know more about this great program or interested in volunteering, please contact Theresa Shields, LRT/CTRS at (910) 916-9923.
