South Knox Is Open!
WELCOME TO SOUTH KNOXVILLE
A MESSAGE FROM COUNCILMAN NICK PAVLIS

This website is devoted to helping folks continue to shop, work, and play in this wonderful part of our City - Knoxville's Urban Wilderness.

The Henley Street Bridge closure will present a challenge to our area but we hope folks will realize it is still easy to find us. On this website, we have a Directory of businesses we have called the "Downtown South Business District" for the duration of this project. This area will encompass that part of Chapman Highway from Moody Avenue north to the Henley Street Bridge along with others just off of this route. This area is a part of the Downtown South Business Association which encompasses the entire south Knoxville area.

We encourage everyone to continue to shop and enjoy all of the businesses in South Knoxville. However, while the Henley Street Bridge is closed, we are particularly concerned about our businesses that will lose a projected traffic volume of 38,000 cars per day going by their businesses. Many of those businesses in the Downtown South Business Association have requested to be included as well so we are also listing those businesses in our Directory upon request. Some of these businesses listed in our Directory are providing coupons for their customers on their websites so we encourage you to visit them there.

We will have onsite an interactive map with a search engine for each of the businesses in the area which will have the ability to show all of the business in South Knoxville.

We have provided links to the Tennessee Department of Transportation website devoted to the Henley Street Bridge construction as well as to the City of Knoxville website.

Lastly, we are providing a message center which we plan to update frequently with progress reports from the Contractor as well as press releases from TDOT and also any other information about the area that is pertinent.

Thank you for visiting our site and we are looking forward to seeing you soon in South Knoxville.

Neyland Drive will continue to have temporary lane closures during daytime work operations for overhead construction on the north spans. The Greenway will also have temporary closures if work is being performed above it. The Greenway status can be followed daily on twitter, at twitter.com/HenleyBridge.
