Human Resources Management Bureau

Human Resources FeatureThe Human Resources Management Bureau (HRMB) within the Division of Administration provides a full range of personnel management programs to the employees of the Office of the Attorney General. The HRMB facilitates the recruitment and employment process, coordinates Civil Service Examinations and maintains personnel files. The Bureau also handles training and staff development, employee benefit and insurance programs, workers' compensation claims and the complete range of labor relations activities. Staff is also involved in administering compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act and processing Reasonable Accommodation requests, Family Medical Leave Act research issues and the managing of Ethics Law reporting system. HRMB also oversees employment for most of the positions generated from civil service, where candidates have taken an examination for the title. The Legal Recruitment Bureau oversees employment for exempt positions. The vast majority of our attorney positions fall into the exempt class where there is no written test.
