PHMSA-funded Remote — Responding to Flammable Liquids Training

SERTC is partnering with the Center for Rural Development (CRD), to provide remote-delivery training — “Responding to Incidents Involving Flammable Liquids Transported by Rail”. This training program is NO CHARGE to qualifying emergency volunteer and rural emergency responders. SERTC Instructional Staff will bring to your jurisdiction this training to assist with the understanding of, preparing for, and appropriate response to incidents involving flammable liquids including crude oil, ethanol, and other flammable liquids that travel by rail through their communities. No-charge Web-Based Flammable Liquids Transported by Rail. SERTC, in partnership with the Center for Rural Development (CRD), have released “Introduction to Flammable Liquids Training.”This is a Web Based Training program that is available at No Charge to emergency responders. Register Now

No-charge Web-Based CBR. The Association of American Railroads, in cooperation with the seven major railroads, BNSF, CN, CP, CSX, KCS, NS, and UP are now offering, at no charge to emergency responders, Crude by Rail Web Based Training. Register Now

Continuing Education

CEU’s are now available at SERTC through Colorado State University – Pueblo (CSU-P). The Security and Emergency Response Training Center in partnership with the Division of Extended Studies at Colorado State University – Pueblo (CSU-P) provides an opportunity for all participants who complete the following courses:

  • Hazardous Materials Weapons of Mass Destruction Technician for Surface Transportation(DHS-DHS-FEMA Certified 2011)
  • Tank Car Specialist (DHS-FEMA Certified 2010)
  • Highway Emergency Response Specialist (DHS-FEMA Certified 2010)
  • Leadership and Management of Surface Transportation Incidents(DHS-FEMA Certified 2011)
  • Crude By Rail (DHS-FEMA Certified 2014)
  • Tactical Hazardous Materials Operations in Surface Transportation Incidents

Credits will be afforded to present and past students, with proper documentation, that they have attended the above courses from 2010 to present after certification by DHS-FEMA.

The participant will receive CEU’s on a transcript from the university and provides a permanent record that is accessible and available upon request.

SERTC is working with CSU-P toward offering additional course for Continuing Education Units to enhance the educational opportunities for attendees. Download the form for Residential Training or Download the form for Remote Training.

NEW SITE ACCESS REQUIREMENTS FOR TTCI VISITORS
