The U.S. Geological Survey maintains a lake gage on the waterfront at ECHO at the Leahy Center for Lake Champlain (a lake aquarium and science center) in Burlington, Vermont. The gage is part of the Waterfront Weather Station featuring equipment that records real-time water and air temperature, lake level, and wind speed data for Lake Champlain. This exhibit is a result of a partnership between the USGS, ECHO, and television station NewsChannel 5.
