Welcome to Regis University

The Regis University Colorado Front Range (COFR) Center on Information Assurance Studies (CIAS) is located in Denver, CO at the Lowell campus of Regis University, a Jesuit university. Regis University educates men and women of all ages to take leadership roles and to make a positive impact in a changing society.  Regis University has offered undergraduate and graduate classes in security and information assurance (IA) since the early e-commerce wave that swept the Internet.  In 2005 we applied for, and received in June of 2006, our mapping by the Committee on National Security Systems to the CNSS 4011 and 4012 security training standards.  Our University was designated as a Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance Education in June of 2007.  The CAEIAE designation is current through 2017.

We currently have had several Information Assurance Scholarship Program (IASP) students attend the University.  These students are supporting a national repository for information security education materials (PRISM) that can be found at www.prismhome.org, and working to manage and support our Academic Research Network.  The University has received a grant in 2010 to host a workshop to examine the various collegiate cybersecurity competitions and produce models for virtualization of the student events.

IASP Scholarship Information:

Recruitment for the IASP is now open for the 2011-2012 academic year. The application can be downloaded by clicking on the IASP Scholarship tab  followed by clicking Application 2012.  Accepted IASP applicants who applied and are accepted for  Fall 2012 term start will begin internships in May, 2013.

The Center is a portal for Colorado citizens, business and government to obtain information, research and education about Information Assurance.  We accomplish our mission through active participation in the community and hosted events that educate and inform. We provide Regis faculty as speakers at Small Medium Business gatherings. We also attend public policy forums and conferences. We strive to educate the next generation of business leaders.
