Description: The HETRA Secure Solutions 5002T is an Ethernet switch based on the CISCO 5002 Multifunction Ethernet switch. The 5002 chassis has two slots. One slot is used by the Supervisor II (MMF) engine. The engine provides layer two switch and network management. The engine also has two full duplex FAST Ethernet uplinks for redundant connections to switches, routers and servers. The second slot accepts the Ethernet switching modules. There are three possible switches to use. The primary switch would be the 10BaseFL 24 port, MT-RJ. This provides 24 switched, 10Mpbs, full or half-duplex Ethernet ports. The ports have MT-RJ style connectors for MMF cable. The other two switches are options. The switch can deliver more than 1 million packets-per-second throughput across a 1.2 Gbps backplane. The 5002T chassis has built in dual load sharing, redundant power supplies. The chassis will fit into a standard 19 inch rack with the optional rack mount accessories kit.
