Maintenance activities are taking place on trails 223E, 223D, 223P, and 223L of the Jake and Bull Multi-Use Trail System. Users are advised to exercise caution when riding the trails, as the contractor and equipment may be present.
Remember the “Rules of the Trail” when encountering horses, bikes, pedestrians, etc.

Forest Service Road 1108 accessing Murder Creek Falls in Putnam County Georgia, on the Oconee Ranger District is closed until further notice, due to road damage and weather conditions.

For public safety, Forest Service Road 34 (Dicks Creek Road) will be temporarily closed to the public beginning March 14, 2013 due to a culvert washing out.

Chattahoochee River Road, FSR 44, will be closed indefinitely because of road damages caused by the recent rainstorm events. At this time, the road is closed from Vandiver Fields to the Upper Chattahoochee Campground.

The forest around Timpson Creek Road was badly damaged in a tornado on April 27, 2011 and remains closed until the District Ranger completes his assessment to determine whether the road can be safely cleared. He is also considering the potential impacts associated with a project of this magnitude. If it appears this road should remain closed permanently, the District Ranger will notify the public and invite everyone who is interested to comment on the proposal.
The Scull Shoals Trail is closed indefinitely until it can be relocated to a more stable and safe location. The historic mill village site and other trails, such as the Boarding House Trail, remain open to the public.
