Welcome
We develop innovative metrologies to support performance-based standards for law enforcement, corrections, emergency response, and dual-use military technologies and advances these technologies to support the articulated stakeholder needs. Metrologies are developed for soft body armor systems, ballistic-resistant materials, less-lethal weapon technologies, surveillance technologies, and advanced sensing of concealed objects based on physical, chemical, radiological, and electromagnetic measurements. The group actively engages standard development organizations to lead implementation of metrologies and standards, requirements for conformity assessment, test bed maintenance, and third-party accreditation. |
