In a continuing effort to reach out to a wide range of constituencies, several staff members of the Des Moines Field Office volunteered to represent HUD at the annual Latino Heritage Festival. 

Des Moines Field Office employees Julie Sleeper and Aliza Reisberg volunteered at the 2012 Iowa Latino Heritage Festival.

Over the two-day event, staff informed the public about HUD’s programs and distributed useful information to assist customers across a wide range of programs. The Des Moines Field Office was one of over 75 vendors at the festival.

The festival celebrated its tenth anniversary this year and has become one of Iowa’s largest cultural events.  Each year the festival attracts nearly 50,000 people.
