When and how can I make changes to my coverage?
If you haven’t assigned your insurance, you can reduce or cancel coverage at any time.
To make changes to your coverage, you must write to OPM’s Retirement Operations Center. The address is:

In your signed letter you can request to reduce or cancel your coverage(s).
