DC-Area Researcher Forum to be held on May 18

by on March 23, 2012

We hope that you will be able to join us for the next meeting of the National Archives Researcher Forum.  It will be held on Friday, May 18, at 1:00 p.m. in G-25, the new classroom in the National Archives Building in Washington, DC (Archives I).  NARA’s digitization partners will return for continued discussion of the digitization of archival records, begun at the September 16 forum.

Is this meeting solely about digitization projects? Also, is anyone from a reference unit going to be present? Just trying to identify the audience.

Hi, Bob. The meeting is an open conversation between our Washington DC research community and our digitization parnters to share perspectives on the work and to encourage understanding, to talk about what’s working and what can improve the service. NARA staff are encouraged to attend these meetings. What better way to learn about the needs of all parties than to listen and discuss?

Hi, I am interested in attending the Researcher Forum. I have never attended a meeting in the past and am unfamiliar with process. Must I RSVP for the meeting or is it open attendance? Many thanks, Leslie
