The objective of any contracting action is to provide effective mission support to enable a customer to execute their mission. This presentation emphasises the importance of understanding the stakeholders/customers mission needs as the starting point for developing effective support strategies. It underscores the importance of linkage between stakeholder mission outcomes and needs and the support strategy developed to deliver these performance outcomes. This presentation is based on the seven step model for PBSA and adds an eight step for developing and defining mission area support strategies.
