Concentrating Solar Power Technical Management Position

An excellent opportunity exists for a technical manager who will help build our nation’s renewable energy industry. The successful candidate will provide strategic and tactical direction for the Concentrating Solar Technologies Department (6123). Management functions and responsibilities include the following: allocation, prioritization and management of staff, technicians, union personnel, contract personnel and financial resources; lead technical staff and direct the development of technical programs; management of the annual operating plan budget, activities and milestones; interfacing with both internal and external customers and sponsors, in particular with key sponsoring organizations such as DOE/EERE; recruiting, coaching, and mentoring department staff and students; overseeing the efficient and safe operation of the NSTTF; working with the Photovoltaic and Distributed Systems Department in support of a larger solar energy systems strategy; serving as a member of the Energy Technologies and System Solutions Center management team to achieve common objectives; and adhering to all Sandia policies that demonstrate Sandia corporate core values.
