The Office of the Inspector General assists the Office of Personnel Management in promoting economy and efficiency, in part by preventing and detecting fraud and abuse within its programs and operations. To do this, we conduct independent studies and analytical reviews that improve program cost efficiency and effectiveness, management, and the overall quality of service delivery throughout the agency.
