Released on February 18 by Global Integrity the Global Integrity Report: 2008 finds that the lack of transparency and accountability around the financing of political parties and candidates was the #1 corruption threat in a majority of countries worldwide. The report assesses the accountability mechanisms and transparency measures in place (or not) to prevent corruption and includes a new Grand Corruption Watch List of countries at serious risk of corruption.
