Potential Airport Impacts of Federal "Sequestration"

There have been numerous media reports that mandatory federal budget cuts called “sequestration” could eventually reduce federal agency staffing and inconvenience air travelers. While the airport facilities will continue to operate normally, we are monitoring the TSA, FAA and CBP for specific information regarding passenger screening, air traffic control and customs processing. Click here for more details.

WMATA Escalator Maintenance

Metro is in the process of repairing/replacing escalators between the platform and the mezzanine levels on the north entrance of the Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport Metro Station. Passengers should proceed with caution, especially while carrying baggage, when traveling through Metro's maintenance area. Elevator service is available to and from the center of the rail station platform. For details about elevator and escalator outages at this location visit Metro here.
