For Students (from pre-college to post-grad) and Educators: check out Educational and Research Experiences at ORNL. ORNL has a long history in linking with academia, and last summer over 350 students and faculty came to ORNL to get hands on research experience, in addition to those who came during the year. There are a variety of programs available, with durations ranging from 2-10 weeks for pre-college students, 2-12 months for all other students, and from 2 weeks to a 6-12 months sabbatical program for faculty. ORNL educational opportunities for both students and faculty are managed by The Oak Ridge Institute for Science and Education (ORISE).
