FA-IB-2012-009: Implementation of National Incident Management System (NIMS) Training Requirements in the Incident Qualification and Certification System (IQCS)

This information bulletin provides information on the Bureau of Land Management’s (BLM)
implementation of ICS and NIMS training requirements in IQCS for wildland fire incident
response.  In February 2011, the Assistant Director, Fire and Aviation, issued Instruction
Memorandum #2011-011 requiring BLM responders to complete NIMS training requirements by
December 1, 2011, to ensure compliance with Homeland Security Presidential Directives 5 and
8.
