January 11, 2011
Roschele Butz, a/k/a Roschele Luna Berumen, 32, of Sandy, Utah, was sentenced last week in Pocatello to serve twelve months and one day in federal prison for making a false statement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office announced. On January 7, 2011, Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill ordered Butz to also serve three years of supervised release following her prison term.
Butz pled guilty in September 2010, admitting she made a false statement to a deputy U.S. Marshal, by denying she had traveled with Allen Russell, a fugitive, to Utah, on April 2, 2010.
