Two Sentenced for Distributing Methamphetamine
POCATELLO – Kari Jo Delosreyes, 28, of Chubbuck, Idaho, and James Paul Butler, 22, of Cataldo, Idaho, were sentenced in U.S. District Court in Pocatello this week for distributing methamphetamine, U.S. Attorney Wendy J. Olson announced.
Chief U.S. District Judge B. Lynn Winmill sentenced Delosreyes on Monday to 35 months in prison followed by five years of supervised release for possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine. Butler was sentenced today to 18 months in prison followed by three years of supervised release for distribution of methamphetamine. Both defendants pled guilty on October 11, 2011.
According to the plea agreement, Delosreyes admitted that on various dates, including June 7 and August 12, 2010, she traveled from Cassia County to the Pocatello area in possession of methamphetamine, with the intent to distribute it to other individuals. Butler admitted that on August 12, 2010, he arranged to deliver methamphetamine to another individual in Pocatello, Idaho. According to the plea agreement, later that day Butler received methamphetamine from co-defendant Delosreyes and subsequently distributed the narcotic to the purchaser at the K & B Kwik Stop in Pocatello. Butler was paid $300 for the methamphetamine.
The case was investigated by the Idaho State Police.
