This two day cemetery workshop will focus on a variety of cemetery materials and conservation treatments. This includes proper cleaning, consolidation, and simple repair techniques for stone grave markers.  The class is limited to 20 participants to maximize hands-on opportunityso register early to avoid missing this workshop.

Instructors

Jason Church
Jason Church is a Materials Conservator in the Materials Conservation Program at NCPTT. Jason coordinates the Center’s national cemetery training initiative and related research. He was previously a conservator and historic metals expert for the City of Savannah, Ga., Department of Cemeteries. He earned his M.F.A. in Historic Preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design.

    Are there any classes this summer in tombstone restoration, etc?

    • No, but we are planning to have cemetery monument conservation training in the fall. Please check back periodically to the trainings link on the websites homepage.
