Alexei Tkachenko

Theory & Computation

Dr. Alexei Tkachenko has joined the Theory & Computation group as a staff scientist, where his research will focus on topics in soft condensed matter theory. Alexei completed his PhD at Bar-Ilan University under the direction of Prof. Yitzhak Rabin and then held post-doctoral positions at The University of Chicago and at Bell Laboratories. For the past six years, he has been Asst. Professor in the Physics Department at University of Michigan where he pioneered the theoretical understanding of assembly processes in hybrid, soft materials.
