  • Oct 05, 2009 - Gov. Perry Announces $600,000 TEF Investment in Cardiovascular Systems Inc.
    AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the state will invest $600,000 through the Texas Enterprise Fund (TEF) in Cardiovascular Systems Inc. (CSI) for the creation of a facility in Pearland to manufacture their arterial disease treatment system, Diamondback 360. This TEF investment will create 100 jobs, with the potential to grow to 250 jobs over the next five years, and generate $23 million in capital investment.
     
  • Oct 05, 2009 - Gov. Perry Named Chair of IOGCC
    BILOXI, Miss. – Gov. Rick Perry today was named chairman of the Interstate Oil and Gas Compact Commission (IOGCC) at the member states’ annual meeting in Biloxi. The governor met with various leaders from member states of the commission to discuss cap and trade legislation being considered in Washington, and the regulation of oil and gas resources.

  • Sep 30, 2009 - Gov. Perry Grants Pardon for Innocence to Woodard
    AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today granted a pardon for innocence to James Lee Woodard after DNA testing proved he did not sexually assault or murder Beverly Ann Jones in 1980. DNA testing was not available at the time the crime was committed.
     
  • Sep 29, 2009 - Gov. Perry Announces ETF Investment in Azaya Therapeutics Inc.
    AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the state will invest more than $1 million in Azaya Therapeutics Inc. of San Antonio through the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) for the development of their innovative Azaya Liposome Encapsulated Radiation Therapy (ALERT) for treatment of cancerous tumors.
     
  • Sep 25, 2009 - Gov. Perry Announces ETF Investment in Turbo Trac USA Inc.
    AUSTIN – Gov. Rick Perry today announced the state will invest $2 million in Turbo Trac USA Inc., of Midland, through the Texas Emerging Technology Fund (ETF) for the development and commercialization of their energy conservation technology for industrial motor systems.
