Best Buy to require electronics recyclers to be dual certified

Summary: Best Buy Co. Inc. will require the electronic recyclers it hires to be certified in both Responsible Recycling (R2) and e-Stewards. The announcement was made during the e-Scrap Conference in Dallas last week. Previously, Best Buy required electronics recyclers to be certified in either of the standards. There are approximately 30 recyclers in the country that are certified in both. Best Buy has an extensive electronics recycling program, taking back nearly any type of electronics free of charge.
