The EEOC, per Executive Order 13563, 76 Fed. Reg. 3821 (Jan. 21, 2011), developed a Final Plan for Retrospective Review of Significant Regulations, consistent with law and its resources and regulatory priorities. The Final Plan is posted on

The EEOC's mission is to promote equality of opportunity in the workplace and enforce federal laws prohibiting discrimination in employment. Its regulatory program supports effective enforcement of six employment nondiscrimination laws:
On March 8, 2011, the EEOC first sought public comments on the design of a Preliminary Plan for Retrospective Review of Significant Regulations (Preliminary Plan). The public comments received in March - May 2011 are available for public review at http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/regulations/retro-review-comments.cfm.
On June 6, 2011, the EEOC posted its Preliminary Plan at http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/regulations/retro_review_plan.cfm and sought public comment on the plan as proposed. The public comments received in June and July 2011 are available at http://www.eeoc.gov/laws/regulations/retro-review-comments.pdf.
The EEOC will continue to accept public comments on the retrospective review of EEOC's regulations. Please submit all public comments to public.comments.regulatoryreview@eeoc.gov.
