CTF 152 operates in the international waters of the Arabian Gulf and takes part in Operation Enduring Freedom.
Established in March 2004, CTF 152 coordinates Theater Security Cooperation (TSC) activities with regional partners and conducts Maritime Security Operations (MSO), as well as being prepared to respond to any crisis inside the Arabian Gulf.
Through TSC activities, CTF 152 engages with the regional nations, working with them to enhance the ability of regional maritime forces to limit illegal activities and defeat destabilizing activities in the Arabian Gulf. CTF 152 operates in regional waters with all Gulf Cooperation Council nations and complements the security of Gulf Cooperation Council nations in their own territorial waters.
MSO help develop security in the maritime environment, which promotes stability and global prosperity. These operations complement the counterterrorism and security efforts of regional nations and seek to impede the use of the maritime environment as a venue for attack or to transport personnel, weapons or other material.
