Russian Journalist Seminar on Migration and Tolerance – April 10-13, 2012

BBG Development in partnership with the National Research University Higher School of Economics (HSE) in Moscow, Russia, is hosting a seminar for Russian journalists on migration issues, 10-13 April, 2012. The seminar is held on the sidelines of the HSE International Conference on Migration In Host Countries, 12 April.

20 Russian journalists from 10 regions across Russia, including Sakhalin, Krasnodar and Dagestan participate in the training. VOA’s and RFE/RL’s Russian Service stringers also attend the seminar.

Joan Mower, Director of BBG Development, Inna Dubinsky, Development Officer, Anna Kachkaeva, RFE/RL’s Russian Service program host and Dean of Journalism School at HSE, will make presentations at the seminar on Coverage of Migration Issues in Russian Media (Kachkaeva), Ethics of Journalism (Mower) and Role of Social Media in XXI Century Journalism (Dubinsky).

The seminar is co-sponsored by HSE and the U.S. Embassy in Russia.
