Radioactivity Standards Reference Materials

Summary:

Total sales of radioactivity Standard Reference Materials the last two years were 818 units, having a total sales income of over $263,000.

Description:

These sales represent an important part of a continuing program to supply standards for the nation and international markets.  The NRMAP-NIST collaborative radiopharmaceutical standards program accounted for the production, standardization, and distribution of 34 newly-issued SRMs, consisting primarily of short-lived nuclides: 131I (SRM 4401H and 4401L, lots 35 and 36), 99Mo (SRM 4412H and 4412L, lots 34 and 35), 67Ga (SRM 4416H and 4416L, lots 30 and 31), 99mTc (SRM 4410H, lots 35 and 36), 201Tl (SRM 4404H and 4404L, lots 32 and 33), 111In (SRM 4417H and 4417L, lots 29 and 30), 133Xe (SRM 4415H and 4415L, lots 33 and 34), 90Y (SRM 4427H and 4427L, lots 13 and 14), 125I (SRM 4407H and 4407L, lots 34 and 35).  In addition, this year, new issues of 239Pu (SRM 4330C), 243Am (SRM 4332E), and 63Ni (SRM 4226D) standards were also completed and placed into SRM inventory, along with re-certification and re-inventorying of 238Pu (SRM 4323B), 210Pb (SRM 4337), 243Cm (SRM 4329), 222Rn (SRM 4973), 3H (SRM 4927F), 232U (SRM 4324B), 90Sr (SRM 4919I) and Oxalic Acid (4990C) standards.  The new 242Pu (SRM 4334I) was also made available for sale and distribution.  Ongoing work includes the completion of the Ocean Shellfish Radioactivity Standard (SRM 4358) certification, and the standardizations of 228Ra, 244Cm and 237Np.
