To meet this mission, authorized frontline decision makers must be able to accurately identify the people they encounter and assess whether they pose a risk to the United States. The Department's US-VISIT program provides biometric identification and analysis services that enable the U.S. government to:
- Enhance the security of our citizens and visitors,
- Facilitate legitimate travel and trade,
- Ensure the integrity of our immigration system, and
- Protect the privacy of our visitors.
