FEC Summarizes 2011 Campaign Activity

Presidential and congressional candidates running in the current election cycle, political parties and political action committees (PACs) collected more than $1.9 billion and disbursed more than $1.3 billion in 2011, according to campaign finance reports filed with the Federal Election Commission from January 1 through December 31, 2011.
