Commissioner Cheryl A. LaFleur

Commissioner Cheryl A. LaFleur was nominated by President Barack Obama to serve as a member of the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission in 2010 and confirmed by the U.S. Senate for a term that ends in June 2014.

Among Commissioner LaFleur’s priorities at the Commission are strengthening reliability and grid security, promoting regional transmission planning, and supporting a clean and diverse power supply. She serves as the FERC liaison to the Department of Energy’s Electricity Advisory Committee. She is also a member of the NARUC Committees on Electricity and Critical Infrastructure and co-chair of the FERC/NARUC Forum on Reliability and the Environment.
