FCC Peer Review Agenda
On January 14, 2005 the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) adopted peer review requirements for certain types of information products. These requirements are applicable to all federal agencies, including the Federal Communications Commission. The peer review Bulletin was published in the Federal Register and the requirements took effect beginning on June 16, 2005. The requirements generally do not apply to information disseminated in agency adjudications or permit proceedings.
Included in the OMB peer review Bulletin are requirements that agencies update their Peer Review Agenda at least every six months, and that, by June 16, 2006, agencies include planned peer reviews of both influential scientific information and highly influential scientific assessments in their Peer Review Agenda.
The Commission reports the following planned peer reviews of influential information. The Commission continues to review whether there are other instances requiring the use of peer review related to the dissemination of influential scientific information or highly influential scientific assessments within the definitions promulgated by OMB. Such Peer Review Agenda items will be added to this page when appropriate in accordance with OMB's peer review requirements.
