Lady Lions earn No. 3 seed in NCAA Tournament
The No. 8/8 Penn State Lady Lions (25-5, 14-2) earned their third-straight NCAA Tournament appearance after claiming a No. 3 seed in the 2013 NCAA Women's Basketball Tournament where they will face No. 14 Cal Poly (21-10, 13-5 Big West) on Sunday at 5:15 p.m. (ET) in Baton Rouge, La. The game will be televised on ESPN2 and ESPN3.
'Beautiful Souls' chosen as inaugural Penn State Reads common text
Penn State Reads, a new common reading program for first-year University Park campus students, is designed to provide a shared experience among new students, encourage intellectual engagement within and beyond the classroom, stimulate critical thinking, and foster a deeper connection to Penn State's mission and core values. The book "Beautiful Souls: Saying No, Breaking Ranks and Heeding the Voice of Conscience in Dark Times" by author Eyal Press has been selected for the 2013-14 Penn State Reads program.
Law clinic students develop training program to help military families
Third-year students Alison Glunt, Teleicia Rose, and Bart Wischnowski and clinic fellow Erin Bloxham developed training materials that will help thousands of military families.
